Who we are

Qinghai Youxuan Culture & Tourism — on the ground since 2014

Atmosphere Creations is the travel brand of 青海优选文旅有限公司 (Qinghai Youxuan Culture & Tourism Co., Ltd.), a travel agency licensed in Xining, Qinghai.

We are not a reseller. Our own driver-guides live along the Qinghai–Gansu Grand Loop, our own designers answer your WhatsApp, and every itinerary is written from scratch for the travellers in front of us — usually families and small groups flying in from Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru.

Because Qinghai is home to one of China's largest Hui Muslim communities, halal kitchens, mosques and no-pork menus are part of daily life here, not a special request. That single fact is why we focus on Malaysian guests: the plateau is genuinely one of the most comfortable corners of China for a Muslim family to explore.

Do Malaysians need a visa for Qinghai?
Malaysian passport holders currently enjoy visa-free short stays in China. Rules can change, so we check the official notice for your exact travel dates and send you a printout to carry with your passport, which must be valid for at least six months beyond your return.
How do we get from Kuala Lumpur to Xining?
KUL → Xining usually connects through Chengdu, Guangzhou or Beijing, with a total door-to-door journey of about nine to thirteen hours. We time the connection, meet you at Xining airport and keep day one gentle so nobody starts the plateau jet-lagged.
Is halal food really easy to find?
Yes. Qinghai has one of China's largest Hui Muslim populations and Xining's Dongguan Grand Mosque is among the biggest in the country. Halal hand-pulled noodles, roast lamb and no-pork menus are everyday food here, and we list halal restaurants along your route day by day.
How much does a Qinghai–Gansu tour cost?
Private tours start from around RM 1,500 per person in the off-season up to RM 2,800 in the summer peak, depending on days, hotel grade and group size. The 10-day Grand Loop sits at the top of that range. We always send a written, itemised quote.
When is the best time to visit?
July is the single best month — Menyuan's rapeseed fields are solid gold and Qinghai Lake is at its bluest. June to August is peak season, September to October brings golden poplars and far fewer crowds, and April to May means quiet salt lakes and low prices.
What about altitude sickness?
Xining sits at 2,260 m and Qinghai Lake at 3,196 m. We build a gentle first day, carry oxygen and a pulse oximeter in every vehicle, and adjust the plan immediately if anyone feels unwell. Tell us in advance about any heart or blood-pressure conditions.
